Free Party - February 1st (Daytime) - Brixton
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

We Continue is a brand new daytime event designed to change the way you think about partying and give a different shape to your weekend.

You spoke and we listened! Its uplifting house, its bouncy electro, its comfy sofas and quirky décor, it’s in South London and best of all, IT’S FREE!!!

We’re thrilled to be holding our first ever party at the legendary Dogstar in Brixton, a venue steeped in musical history which has played host to some amazing live bands and parties over the years and this will be their first ever Sunday afternoon party!

If you’ve never been to the Dogstar before (and even if you have) you can’t fail to be stunned by the surrealist décor which is different in each and every room. We’re lucky enough to be having our party in the VIP suite, a gorgeous, intimate room with comfy sofas and armchairs, a perfectly proportioned dance space, chandeliers, a private bar and almost panoramic views of Brixton’s buzzing community thanks to the huge windows. The Dogstar is only a 5 minute walk from Brixton tube and overground train services.

Sunday afternoon just got a lot more interesting.

Sunday Saviours:
NOT SHY (This Is Not A Rave/CAT)
SOOTHSAYER (Disco 3001)
JASMINE (Dice, No Judgement)
KILLEMILIO (Dice, UpTownBoogieDown)

Entry: FREE!

The EMA's this year were awesome, but Tokio Hotel were by far the best thing :D They beat My Chemical romance, Fall Out Boy, and 30 Seconds to Mars. Is it any wonder why?
I discovered their music and found out I LOVE this music. Plus the boy's german accents
are so cute ^^

Tokio Hotel also led the sexiest performance of the night! Check out the vid:

London Partying
Hello, I was in London last summer and I was staying at Picadilly Backpackers around Picadilly Circus. I had a great time despite how expensive London is. I'll probably be going back this summer and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions of places I should visit to party. Also, if you are in the mood to read some stories or know more about me, you can check out http://JorgeDrunk.com

Enjoy the weekend partying.

please, please, please!
Please can you (any uk people) help out me and my band by voting for us on friday the 18th or saturday 19th if you have enough time and enough spare credit on your phone, by texting 'ROCK ULTRAVIOLETS' to 83936.

We are a three piece all girl band from England and im the drummer. X fm (a london-based rock radio station) recently interviewed us and played our song so we have reason to believe we have a chance and winning the X fm Rock School 2 competition means getting to play in front of 5000 people at Brixton Academy!!!

Please help us.

You can listen to us here: www.myspace.com/ultravioletsband

Or check out the competition info and entries here: www.xfm.co.uk

This community doesn't look to lively, but I'm leaving for England this week and will be there for two months. I was wondering what are some good clubs to go to and what style of music they typically have. I like house and drum n bass, but I'm up for anything as long as the atmosphere is good. Also are there any websites that have good information about raves and things going on in England? I've googled a bit, but haven't found any that are up to date.

Clive Chin has arrived in the UK for the release of Out on a Funky Trip. The launch party is at 93 Feet East in London's Brick Lane on September 17th. Presented in association with Nice Up! Clive will be the special guest DJ, playing some rare grooves which he's brought with him specially. There's also a special Motion Records bar and sets from the Nice Up! regulars, so it promises to be a great night out

(It's a collection of rare funk and soul cuts put together by some of reggae's finest musicians (with help from a few of their friends). Included are some hugely collectable rarities, much sought after by DJs. Many of the tracks were recorded at
Kingston's legendary Randy's Studio, some produced by the late Vincent Chin, some by Victor Chin, the rest by Clive Chin.)

fun things to do
I visited London last year on my spring break (or holiday). I went on "London Walks" Jack the Ripper tour, it was REALLY good. Go to www.LondonWalks.com its only
Five pounds to do it, and I believe you meet infront of tower bridge area. Make sure you get the guy who does it cause he is an expert. It is really cool to do. The guy gave JOHNNY DEPP the personal tour before he did the film 'From Hell' its spooky but fun!!!!
